Ghana skipper Sarah Nyarko has been named Woman of the Match following the Black Princesses’ impressive 3-1 victory over South Korea in their second group-stage game.
Nyarko played a pivotal role in Ghana’s dominant display, opening the scoring in the 52nd minute with a superb long-range strike that gave the Princesses the breakthrough.
The captain’s leadership, composure and attacking contribution stood out throughout the encounter as Ghana went on to add two more goals through Ivy Osei Owusu and substitute Ruth Amponsah.
Her outstanding performance earned her the individual accolade as the Black Princesses secured a crucial victory and kept their hopes of advancing to the knockout stage alive.
Ghana will face France in their final group game on September 12, 2026, in a crucial encounter that will determine their fate in the competition.
