Accra Hearts of Oak striker John Antwi has praised head coach Nebojsa Kapor for his impact following the club’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea on Matchday 1 of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians produced a dominant display at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, with Antwi scoring twice to help Hearts secure a convincing opening-day victory.
The result also ended Hearts’ 10-year wait for a Matchday 1 victory, having last won their opening league game in 2016.
Antwi, who was named Man of the Match after his impressive two-goal performance, was quick to credit Kapor and his technical team for the team’s strong start.
“He is a very good coach. Together with his technical team, I think they are doing a lot of good work,” Antwi said in his post-match interview.
Hearts will now turn their attention to Matchday 2, when they travel to face Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday, looking to maintain their winning start to the campaign.
