Accra Hearts of Oak have officially parted ways with their Managing Director, Julius Ben Emunah, bringing an end to his tenure at the club just months after his appointment.
Ben Emunah was appointed Managing Director of the Phobians effective February 2, 2026, replacing Dr Delali Anku-Adiamah. His appointment was announced by the club’s Board of Directors, which expressed confidence in his ability to lead Hearts into a new era of professionalism, transparency and competitiveness.
The former Ghana Football Association Head of Competitions was tasked with overseeing the club’s administrative, commercial and sporting operations, drawing on his extensive experience in football administration and governance.
However, his tenure has reportedly been cut short following disagreements over his management approach.
Sources close to the club indicate that some members of the top management were unhappy with aspects of Ben Emunah’s style of administration, with differences reportedly emerging over how the club’s affairs were being managed.
The exact circumstances surrounding his departure have not been officially detailed by Hearts of Oak, and it remains unclear whether the decision was mutual or initiated by the club.
Ben Emunah’s departure represents another change in the club’s top administrative structure as Hearts of Oak continue efforts to establish stability both on and off the pitch.
