Julius Ben Emunah has officially confirmed his resignation as Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, describing the decision as a difficult one.
In a statement announcing his departure, Ben Emunah said leaving the position was not an easy decision after what he described as a “great honour” and deeply rewarding experience serving the Phobians.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my decision to resign from my position as Managing Director of our dear Accra Hearts of Oak,” he stated.
“This has not been an easy decision to make.”
Ben Emunah expressed his gratitude to the club’s Board, led by Executive Board Chairman HRH Togbe Afede XIV, for the trust and opportunity given him to serve.
He also acknowledged the support of the National Chapters Committee (NCC), led by Alhaji Yusif Abdulai, thanking the leadership for what he described as “support and brotherly love” throughout his tenure.
Despite stepping down from the Managing Director role, Ben Emunah stressed that his relationship with Hearts of Oak remains strong.
“Although I am stepping down from my role, I am not stepping away from the club,” he said.
“I remain a proud and committed supporter and will always be available to serve, assist, or support the club in whatever capacity I can.”
Ben Emunah further thanked everyone who supported and worked with him during his time at the club, saying he leaves the position with “immense appreciation” and confidence in Hearts of Oak’s future.
“I leave the position with immense appreciation and the firm conviction that the club has a bright future ahead,” he added.
He concluded by praying for God’s continued blessings and prosperity for the historic Ghanaian club.
