FC AshantiGold 04 head coach Karim Zito says he is not allowing the pressure to deliver results at the club to weigh heavily on him, despite the expectations that come with his wealth of coaching experience.
Speaking during the pre-match interview ahead of AshantiGold 04’s Ghana Premier League clash against Vision FC on Saturday at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Zito was asked how he handles the pressure that comes with his responsibility at the club.
The experienced coach responded with his trademark confidence, insisting that while pressure to perform exists, he does not allow it to affect him mentally.
“The pressure to deliver is there, but I don’t take it to the heart; I take it to the body,” he said.
FC AshantiGold 04 began their 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign with a valuable point after playing out a draw against Port City in Matchweek 1.
Zito’s side will now turn their attention to Vision FC, who made an impressive start to the campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Young Apostles in their opening fixture.
With both teams looking to build momentum early in the season, Saturday’s encounter at the Len Clay Stadium promises to be a keenly contested affair.
