Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojsa Kapor has acknowledged the difficulty of winning away matches in the Ghana Premier League but insists his side will not shy away from the challenge.

The Phobians face a tough test on Sunday when they travel to the Duns Park to take on Bibiani GoldStars in their second game of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Hearts of Oak made an impressive start to the season, cruising to a convincing 4-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea at home on Matchday 1.

They will now be hoping to maintain their strong start when they come up against GoldStars.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Kapor admitted that playing away from home in the Ghanaian top flight presents a significant challenge, but stressed that his team will give their best to secure all three points.

“It is always difficult to win away matches in Ghana, but we are hoping for a positive result” he said.

History also points to a challenging afternoon for the Phobians. Hearts of Oak have managed just one victory in their last five meetings with Bibiani GoldStars, further highlighting the difficulty of Sunday’s encounter.

Kapor and his players will therefore be hoping to overcome their recent struggles against GoldStars and return to Accra with another positive result.
