Ghanaian youngster Omar Zayan has taken another major step in his football development after signing a two-year contract with Spanish club Málaga CF’s U19 side.

The talented forward joins the Málaga CF youth setup from Apentem Andalucía Academy, beginning a new chapter of his career in Spain as he continues his pursuit of professional football.

Zayan’s move to Málaga represents a significant opportunity for the young Ghanaian, who has already gained valuable senior football experience despite his age.

Before securing his move to Spain, Zayan featured for Ghanaian second-tier side Na God FC during the 2025/26 Access Bank Division One campaign. Available match records list the forward with 24 appearances, three goals and approximately 1,700 minutes of football during the season.

One of his notable moments came in January 2026 when he scored Na God FC’s opening goal in their 1-1 draw away to FC Nania.

Málaga CF has a well-established youth development structure, with teams ranging from the youngest age groups through to Juvenil A. The club describes its academy as focusing not only on sporting development but also on education and the overall development of young players.

For Zayan, the move therefore provides an opportunity to develop within a structured European academy environment while competing against some of the best young players in Spain.
