David Gyamfi stole the show at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium, scoring a sensational hat-trick as FC Ashanti Gold 04 defeated Vision FC 3–1 in their first home game of 2026/27 Ghana Premier League.
Gyamfi opened the scoring in the 7th minute, calmly finishing a well-weighted through ball to put the hosts ahead.
Vision FC responded in the 30th minute when Mohammed Sheriff expertly converted a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box to level the score.
But the final 15 minutes of the first half belonged to Gyamfi and Ashanti Gold 04. Edmond Amakye’s brilliant run and cross set up Gyamfi for his second, before the forward completed his hat-trick just before the break after dribbling past two defenders and finishing brilliantly.

Vision FC pushed for a comeback after the restart, but Ashanti Gold 04 remained in control and saw out the game comfortably.
Gyamfi’s pace, dribbling and clinical finishing made him the standout performer as Ashanti Gold 04 celebrated a convincing 3–1 victory on home soil.
