Ghana international Antoine Semenyo provided an assist as Manchester City secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Coventry City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Semenyo played a key role in the only goal of the game, combining with new signing Enzo Fernández before delivering a dangerous cross into the Coventry penalty area.

The Ghanaian’s delivery found Erling Haaland, who rose to head the ball into the net in the 26th minute and give City the lead.

The goal proved decisive as Manchester City held on for all three points despite Coventry mounting increased pressure in the second half.

Semenyo’s contribution continues his encouraging start to life at Manchester City, with the forward already making an impact in the Premier League after his move to the Etihad.

The victory keeps Manchester City perfect in the league, with three wins from three matches, while Coventry remain without a point following their return to the Premier League.

For Semenyo, the assist adds another positive moment to his growing influence in the City attack and will be welcome news for Ghana as the Black Stars continue to monitor the performances of their key players abroad.
