Former Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz is in talks with the Bahrain Football Association over the vacant national team coaching position.

The Portuguese tactician recently left his role with the Black Stars following their poor start to the 2027 AFCON qualifiers, which saw Ghana lose to Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia.

Queiroz’s agent, Tadeo Martins, confirmed that negotiations with Bahrain are ongoing.

“Negotiations are currently underway with the Bahrain national team,” Martins told Moroccan outlet Pulse.

Martins also dismissed reports linking Queiroz with Wydad AC, insisting there have been no negotiations with the Moroccan club.

Queiroz has previously managed Egypt, Iraq and Ghana and could now be set for another international coaching assignment.
