Nana Konadu has made history as the first representative of the Bono Region to win Ghana’s Most Beautiful, securing the GMB@20 Legacy Queen title at the competition’s grand finale.

Held at the National Theatre in Accra on Sunday, October 18, 2026, the finale brought together six contestants competing for the anniversary crown.

For Nana Konadu, the evening also offered an opportunity to champion cultural pride. In her opening presentation, she challenged the ridicule of the Bono accent and called for greater respect for linguistic differences.

She encouraged young people to embrace their identity and speak confidently, stressing that an accent should never be used to judge a person’s intelligence or worth.

Her victory gave Bono its first GMB title and brought her campaign of cultural representation to a historic conclusion.

The queen’s prize package

Nana Konadu received a cash prize of GH¢200,000. A brand-new car from MAC Autos & Spare Parts Ghana Ltd (MAC Ghana). An educational scholarship from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). Gold jewellery and the winner’s crown. An ambassadorial deal with Jemilla Homes. A trip abroad courtesy of Global Wings Travel & Tour. An Infinix HOT 70 smartphone from Infinix. Medical insurance cover worth GH¢15,000, together with a spa treatment, from DrugNet. Makeup products worth GH¢30,000 from Covered Cosmetics. A certificate of participation.

Beyond the prizes, her achievement marks a significant moment for Bono’s representation on the national cultural stage.
