Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has extended a goodwill message to the Ghanaian football family as the 2026/27 football season gets underway.

Okraku, who also serves as the 2nd Vice-President of CAF, congratulated clubs, players, coaches, match officials, administrators, supporters, the media, sponsors and partners ahead of the new campaign.

He described the new season as an opportunity to raise standards, develop talent and strengthen Ghanaian football, while urging all stakeholders to uphold fair play, discipline, integrity and professionalism.

“Players and coaches, give your best; match officials, be fair and consistent; and clubs, build stronger, sustainable institutions,” he said.

Okraku also called on supporters to use their passion to unite rather than divide, and thanked the media, sponsors and partners for their continued support.

He reaffirmed the GFA’s commitment to creating an environment where football can flourish and wished all stakeholders a successful, safe and memorable season.

“Let this be a season of exciting football, healthy competition and collective progress — one that brings pride and glory to Ghana.”
