Basake Holy Stars head coach Abdulai Gazale has admitted he was not satisfied with his team’s performance despite their winning start to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
Holy Stars edged Swedru All Blacks 1-0 on Matchday 1, with Francis Oteng Gyetuah scoring a late winner to secure all three points.
Despite the positive result, Gazale believes his players still have plenty of work to do, particularly in adapting to the tactical structure he wants them to play.
“We still have a lot of work to do. The league is still young, and the structure that we want to play, the players are yet to get it right,” he said.
Gazale will now turn his attention to Matchday 2, when Basake Holy Stars travel to face Young Apostles in Wenchi on Sunday, hoping to build on their winning start while improving their overall performance.
