Heart of Lions head coach Kasim Gökyildiz says his side is well prepared for their Ghana Premier League Matchweek 2 clash against Asante Kotoko on Sunday afternoon.
The two sides will meet at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with Gökyildiz confident that the rigorous preparations his team has undergone will help them compete strongly against the Porcupine Warriors.
Gökyildiz, who guided Hohoe United last season before the club suffered relegation, has experience in the Ghanaian top flight and is relishing the challenge of facing one of the league’s biggest clubs.
“We are very prepared to play against Kotoko, and we will see the outcome on Sunday,” he said.
Heart of Lions will be hoping to continue their impressive record against Kotoko, with the Porcupine Warriors’ last Ghana Premier League victory over the Kpando-based side coming in 2015.
The Matchweek 2 encounter promises to be an intriguing contest as both teams look to make an early statement in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
