The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has appointed veteran journalist and sports media professional Prince Ayim Brown as its new Communication Officer, effective September 7, 2026.
The appointment, announced by GTF Secretary-General Kankpenuba Peter Nuntaa Wisdom, is for an initial two-year period.
Brown will lead the Federation’s communication and publicity efforts, including managing its digital and social media platforms, preparing press releases, documenting competitions and activities, and strengthening engagement with the media.
He brings over 15 years of journalism experience, spanning broadcast journalism, sports reporting, news production and media management. He has held various positions at Global Media Alliance, Happy FM, ETV Ghana and Amansan Television (ATV), among others.
His career has also seen him cover major sporting events, including the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, 2026 African Athletics Championships and the 2023 African Games.
The GTF expects his appointment to enhance the visibility of Taekwondo in Ghana and ensure greater professional coverage of its athletes, coaches, officials, clubs and programmes.
