Three standout performers have been nominated for the Ghana Premier League Fans’ Choice Player of the Week award following impressive displays in Matchweek 1.
The nominees are Setsofia Agetey of Vision FC, John Antwi of Hearts of Oak, and Richard Owusu of Debibi United.
Agetey made a blistering start to the campaign, scoring twice in Vision FC’s 3-0 thumping of Young Apostles in Tema.
Veteran striker John Antwi was also on target twice as Hearts of Oak cruised to a 4-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Meanwhile, Richard Owusu scored a brace for newly promoted Debibi United in their entertaining 2-2 draw against Asante Kotoko at the Golden City Park.
With all three players making significant contributions for their respective clubs, fans will now have the opportunity to vote for their favourite and decide who will be crowned the GPL Fans’ Choice Player of the Week.
