Ghana’s celebrated reigning Ghana’s Most Beautiful @ 20 Legacy winner and Women’s Development Advocate, Nana Nhyiraba Obeng Konadu, has been named as a key speaker for the upcoming Africa Women Political Leadership Summit (AWPLS) 2026. The high-profile continental gathering is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday, 5th November 2026, at the historic Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

This year’s summit runs under the powerful theme, “Women in Power: Political Leadership for Africa’s Economic Transformation.” Convened by the Africa Governance Centre and hosted by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the event gathers prominent female leaders, policymakers, and advocates from across the continent to deliberate on strategies for positioning women at the forefront of Africa’s macroeconomic development and governance structures.

Following her historic crown victory, Nana Konadu continues to leverage her platform to drive impactful change. She will be sharing vital perspectives from her extensive work as a grassroots and national advocate for women’s development in Ghana. Her address is expected to highlight how fostering robust political leadership among African women directly catalyzes sustainable economic growth, policy reform, and social transformation.

The summit serves as a vital platform for intra-African networking and policy advocacy, further underscoring the GMB queen’s growing influence as a key voice for gender advocacy and leadership on the continental stage.
