The eighth episode of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Season 20, held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, delivered another exciting evening of culture, creativity and competition as the contestants battled to distinguish themselves on the GMB stage. The theme for the night was “Heroes and Heroines of Our Land.”
The core task challenged contestants to celebrate and spotlight the remarkable achievements, contributions, and legacies of notable heroes and heroines from their respective regions.
Judges present were, Lawyer Yaw Frimpong Anokye (Guest Judge), Nana Adwoa Awindor and Mrs. Janet Sunkwa-Mills, who returned to the show after a two-week absence. Past queens of Ghana’s Most Beautiful were also present to offer guidance and advice to the contestants. They included Queen Poka, the GMB winner in 2013, and Queen Abena, the GMB winner in 2018.

With the competition becoming increasingly intense, the contestants once again had the opportunity to demonstrate their confidence, talent, cultural knowledge and ability to connect with the audience. Their performances reflected the diversity of Ghanaian culture while highlighting the individual strengths of the queens.
The episode saw several contestants earn recognition for their outstanding performances. Lamiley, representing the Greater Accra Region, emerged as the Star Performer of the night. Her performance stood out among the contestants and earned her another major recognition in the competition.

Tiwaa of the Western North Region was named Kivo Woman of the Week, recognising her impressive contribution during the episode.

The Best Costume award went to Ohenewaa of the Eastern Region, whose appearance and presentation earned her recognition in the category.

Ampomaa of the Ashanti Region was also honoured as Most Eloquent, highlighting her strong communication and presentation skills.

The awards demonstrated the different qualities being rewarded in the competition, from stage performance and eloquence to creativity and cultural representation. As the contestants continue to face new challenges, each episode provides them with an opportunity to improve and establish themselves as strong contenders for the crown.
However, the night ended with an emotional moment as two contestants were evicted from the competition. Ohenewaa of the Eastern Region and Kiba of the Savannah Region were eliminated, bringing their journey in the 20th season of Ghana’s Most Beautiful to an end.

Their eviction further reduced the number of contestants and increased the pressure on those who remain. With every passing week, the queens must work harder to impress the judges and win the support of the Ghanaian public.
The competition has now entered a more crucial stage, with contestants having to consistently prove themselves through their performances. The recognitions earned by Lamiley, Tiwaa and Ampomaa further demonstrate the importance of talent, confidence and effective presentation in the race for the crown.
As the season progresses, viewers can expect more captivating performances, cultural displays and intense competition as the remaining contestants continue their journey towards becoming the next Ghana’s Most Beautiful.
The episode was therefore another memorable chapter in Season 20, combining culture, talent, entertainment and competition while celebrating the rich diversity that makes Ghanaian heritage unique.
