Asante Kotoko assistant coach Diogo Mendes Gomes Pinto Peral has been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for an alleged assault on Medeama SC defender Ebenezer Adade during their Ghana Premier League encounter.
Peral is alleged to have breached Article 12(1)(h) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, following Monday’s match between the two sides at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The incident reportedly occurred after Adade appeared to step on and push the Kotoko assistant coach, who allegedly retaliated by throwing a punch at the Medeama defender.
The GFA has given Peral until Wednesday, November 4, 2026, to respond to the charge.

The two sides settled for an entertaining 1-1 draw, with Medeama maintaining their position at the top of the league table on 18 points after nine matches.
Kotoko, meanwhile, sit ninth with 13 points.
