The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has informed the Senegalese Football Federation that a verdict on its appeal against Morocco’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title is expected by the end of November.

The appeal hearing was held behind closed doors at CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Thursday, October 8, with the arbitration panel now deliberating on the case.

Senegal is challenging the decision to award Morocco the continental crown, with the outcome of the appeal set to determine the fate of the disputed AFCON title.

CAS has yet to announce its final ruling, leaving both nations waiting for a decision that could have significant implications for African football.

The verdict, expected in the final days of November, will bring clarity to the ongoing dispute over the 2025 AFCON championship.
