FC AshantiGold 04 have parted ways with head coach and technical director Abdul Karim Kabutey Zito, assistant coach Ernest Okyere and goalkeeper trainer Robert Dabuo with immediate effect.
The club announced the departures on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, following a meeting of its Interim Management Committee on Monday.
Zito’s departure comes just months after he guided the Miners back to the Ghana Premier League, playing a key role in securing their promotion to the top flight.
However, AshantiGold have endured an inconsistent start to the 2026/27 campaign. The newly promoted side have recorded three wins and two draws in their opening eight matches, prompting the club’s management to make changes to its technical setup.
The decision ends the spells of Okyere and Dabuo, who served as assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer, respectively.
AshantiGold have confirmed that a caretaker coach will take charge of the team while management works towards appointing a new head coach and technical director.
In announcing the changes, the club expressed appreciation to the departing members of the technical team for their service and contributions, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
