Ampem Darkoa Ladies have booked their place at the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League after securing a 1-0 victory over Nigeria’s Edo Queens in the resumption of the WAFU Zone B qualifying final.

The Ghanaian champions completed the decisive fixture after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) ordered the match, initially played on September 5, 2026, to resume following a dispute over the outcome.

Edo Queens had challenged an earlier decision by CAF’s Organising Committee, but the CAF Appeal Board dismissed their appeal, upholding the original ruling with only a change of match officials for the continuation.

The Appeal Board also rejected the remaining requests from the Nigerian side, leaving the other sporting conditions unchanged.

Ampem Darkoa capitalised on the opportunity to claim a narrow victory, bringing the prolonged qualification controversy to an end and securing Ghana’s representation at the continental showpiece.

The Techiman-based side will now shift their focus to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League, where they will compete against some of Africa’s top women’s clubs.
