Newly promoted Port City FC are making an impressive start to life in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League, with assistant coach Jordan Opoku declaring the club’s ambition to finish the season in the top four.

Port City have collected 10 points from their opening six matches, recording three wins, one draw and two defeats. Their impressive start has placed them fourth on the league table despite suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak in their Matchweek Six encounter at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Speaking exclusively to www.adesaproductionslimited.com, Opoku reaffirmed the club’s determination to maintain their strong position and secure a top-four finish at the end of the campaign.

“Our main target for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season is to finish in the top four. We are doing everything right to achieve this goal,” Opoku said.

Port City will look to bounce back from their defeat to Hearts of Oak when they host Dreams FC in Matchweek Seven on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

The encounter will take place at their home ground, the Nana Boamah Darko II Stadium in Kukurantumi, where the newly promoted side will aim to return to winning ways and strengthen their position among the league’s leading teams.

A positive result against Dreams FC would provide another boost to Port City’s top-four ambitions as they seek to build on their promising start to the season.
