The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially launched the maiden KIVO U-17 Regional Champions Cup, with the competition set to run from November 8 to 15, 2026.

The launch ceremony, held at the GFA headquarters on Thursday, November 5, brought together football officials, sponsors KIVO and JLAB, and other stakeholders.

The tournament will take place at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, featuring the best U-17 Colts champions from across the country’s Regional Football Associations.

GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku described the competition as an important platform for young players to showcase their talent, gain exposure and advance their football careers.

“Today, we are not simply launching another football competition. We are unveiling an opportunity for young footballers across our regions to showcase their talent, compete at a higher level and take another important step towards realising their football dreams,” he said.

He also highlighted the importance of grassroots football in building a sustainable future for the game, while commending KIVO and supporting sponsor JLAB for partnering the GFA to create opportunities for young footballers.
