Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has described colts football as the foundation of Ghana’s football development, calling for increased investment and support to transform the country’s juvenile game.
Gyan made the call on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, during the official launch of the 2026/2027 Colts Football season by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.
The launch marks a renewed effort to revive grassroots football and restore colts football to its position as a key talent pipeline for Ghana’s national teams and professional football.
